Like clockwork.

So. I've got a question for you people living outside of Quebec province.
Just how widespread is poutine? I mean, I was at Toronto Pearson airport and somehow managed to snag myself one of them greasy dishes. Sadly, it was a rather monumental failure which ended up only half-eaten. So what I want to know is... Is it that known in Ontario? What about other countries? I know many big cities in the US have poutine, such as New York and whatnot. So holla back.

On another note, I'm now in Lyon and have gone sightseeing a bit. I'll save you the burden of having to watch my pictures. Instead, I'll post some interesting ones I took during transit.

Mad snowstorm. We still departed without delay. Amazing:

Goodbye.

In a few hours, I will be leaving on a plane. To Toronto. Followed by an interminable wait of half a day. But I'm not really complaining, as then I will be on a plane headed for Paris. From there I will head to Lyon and stay there for a week!

Delicious food, yummy pictures, none shall escape me.

Snow White

The absolute stillness. Not a heavy kind of stillness, but a peaceful solitude. The silence was clearly resonant, even above the lulling sound of the gravelly rumble beneath me, which exhaled out in a billow of crystalline powder behind me, swirling in the air. I took a deep, relaxed breath, let the cold bite through the whole way, and let it out gently, cloudlike vapour escaping my mouth and trailing behind to join with the dancing, rolling snow mist. It was a casual stroll, but I knew where I was headed. I took one look at the immensity of the clear yet faded blue sky, feeling its enveloping pull towards it. And suddenly I was off, the rumbling climaxing to a high pitched rasp, then abruptly cut off. I felt suspended, immobile in this rushing speed, with the silent air, and the wind howling in my ears. For that one moment, the infinite, impossible expanse of blue felt closer. In that moment, I lived. I grasped the last strands of that infinitesimal point of certainty as they wisped away, at the same time pulling my escaping thoughts back to the moment. I saw the whiteness zipping forth and past. And up to my face.

Heart-Shaped Box

Have you gotten a rose from your valentine today? Did it come with its accompanying box of chocolates and greeting card with heartfelt wishes and declarations of undying love? Really. Well, good for you. No, really. If you're happy with it then I say, go forth, love, and ignore the following.

It's been said many times before, on each February 14th. But. Do you need a day to express your love? If you truly loved someone, do you need to wait for that day to make your special plans? Inversely, if you truly loved someone, would you really let some commercial "holiday" goad you into buying a box of chocolates and a bouquet of roses on your way back from work? And do you need to give your loved one a Hallmark greeting card? Really? Are you on such an impersonal level with them that you could resort to giving them a greeting card signed "With Love"?

I say, if you must celebrate this day, then tell your loved one what you want and feel by looking at them in the eyes. Just spend some time with them, I think that says more than any purchased goods. Honor your family, cherish your friends, tell them you appreciate them. Make new friends, mend disputes, reconnect with lost acquaintances. And above all, be true, and realize that perhaps you don't need this particular day to prompt you to do all this.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Fail.

So.

Decided to go for a stroll around downtown Montreal at night to take some pictures.

I managed perhaps only 4 good pictures out of 60.

I need a tripod.

I need to learn how to take pictures.

Cross-Eyed

WHAT!

That's right. I decided to try out stereoscopic photography. And it worked out way better than I thought it would. This stuff is AMAZING.

To view the image below the way it's meant to be seen, look at the dividing line between the two pictures, and cross your eyes, until you get three images. The center image should be the one where both images overlap. Tell me what you see.

It's easier done on the thumbnail than on the actual picture, as it's rather big.

TIP: Try to make the yellow caps of the glue bottles merge together.

PS. Pay no mind to the clutter that is my creative workspace.

Foolin' Around

So. Decided to see if I could embed some stuff, were I to eventually compose something viable.

This is the first of many (many) little improvs where I'll brainstorm ideas for a (possible) final piece.
